The 2011 Silent Auction is now off and running.  We are extremely grateful to the many people who have offered lots for sale.  There is something for everyone from a relaxing weeks sailing of Turkey, to various shooting lots and tickets for events ranging from Chelsea Flower Show to Glyndebourne.  What about a flower arrangement every month for a year or canapes for your party?

Please do have a look through the full catalogue. If you have any questions about any of the lots or how to bid please contact Hannah Taylor

This is a silent auction.  You have several weeks to consider which lots you wish to bid for and submit bids. The first round of bidding runs from now until Wednesday 20th April.  All bidders will then be notified and the final round of bidding will commence.  Again, bidders will be regularly contacted to advise them how the bidding is going.

Bidding will close at 8pm on Wednesday 4th May 2011.

A week’s charter of Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 39ft yacht sailing from Gocek in Turkey.  Sleeps 6/8. Two heads. Dates in May, June, Sept or Oct 2011.

You must either be suitably qualified or be accompanied by a qualified skipper.  A skipper can be hired for the week through Sunsail.

The boat is run by Sunsail.  Check out their website for more information about some of the amazing places to sail to from Gocek. www.sunsail.co.uk

Please note - all availabilty checks and reservations must be made by the Auction Committee.

To bid for this lot you are being asked to offer the best price for the week that you bid for.  Bidding may start at 25% less than the list price for a bare boat charter. The organisers will accept the bid that offers the highest net return to the Auction.

For example if the list price for the week you want is £2,000, you might bid £1,500.  However if someone was bidding for a week costing £2,500 they might bid  £1,875.  To out bid them you would then have to increase your bid to more than £1,875.  This would still offer you a saving of over £100 on the charter price.

Bidding for this Lot is scheduled to close at 8pm on Thursday 7th April, to allow those wishing to sail in May or June to secure their reservation.  An earlier date may be accepted if the bid is strong enough.
